A Wonderful time was had by one and all at the 2009 Clan Gathering in Edinburgh last weekend 25th/26th July. Hamish was there with his Whirry Bang and delighted children came along to meet him and to listen to the latest Hamish story.
The weather was gloriously sunny and the event was buzzing all weekend with visitors from all over the world who had come to be part of the clan Gathering. There was music and dancing, kilts and tartan abounded. There was a wonderful sense of camaraderie.
I met returning Scots from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, America and Sweden as well as those who had travelled a little less far, from England and many who live here in Scotland, too.
