I was invited back up to Fife this week and it was a lovely way to finish off my visits around World Book Day. This time it was to visit two newly refurbished libraries – one in Cowdenbeath and the other in Auchtermuchty.
These small libraries are little gems and much appreciated by their local communities who are delighted with the renovations and proud of their libraries.
Hamish McHaggis also enjoyed meeting the children who came to listen to the stories and some of them came up to give him a cuddle, too.
I also delighted when I got an email from the children of Lundin Mill Primary school in Fife who have been writing their own Hamish McHaggis stories and sent them to me to read. They also drew excellent cover pictures for their stories, as you can see below.
